A montage of selections from my large-scale projection design work over the past several years. These pieces range in complexity from single-channel projections onto a 40' cinemascope screen, to massive and immersive eight-channel productions projection-mapped across multiple irregularly-shaped architectural features.
My long association with music—I began playing violin when I was 11, I have created concert visuals for multiple stadium tours, and have now spent a decade working with the New World Symphony—gives me a unique insight and sensibility that is apparent in my work. I love creating beautiful and arresting images, and am always looking for willing collaborators.
This is a selection of moments from some of the 70+ multi-camera HD productions that I have directed—ranging in size from modest eight camera affairs to larger productions of more than 20 cameras. My training as a violinist combined with my time at the New World Symphony—designing and operating the most advanced robotic installation for the capture of classical music in the world—has uniquely prepared me for any artistic or technical challenge that can be thrown my way. And though much of my work has dealt with music and musicians, I am equally comfortable with dance and theatrical productions. At the moment, I am working on my first 4K stand-up comedy special; and I am always looking for projects that can benefit from my particular sensibilities and unique collection of experiences.
This reel is a combination of my best work as a video artist/projection designer and also as a multi-camera director. As such, you'll notice a bit of overlap in imagery between this and my other reels—but if you're looking for a quick overview of everything at once, then you are absolutely in the right place. I directed, designed, and animated everything in this collection.
